2005 REUNION
REUNION WRAPUP
The Eighth International Reunion held in Washington, D.C. from August 17 to 21, 2005 is
now a very pleasant memory. The work of our hands over the past two years certainly bore fruit,
for alumni and friends turned out in unprecedented numbers to meet old friends and form new
friendships. In an atmosphere that was festive and celebratory, Bishops' was revisited once
again, and everyone is looking forward to the next gathering in Toronto, Canada in 2008.
Sincere thanks to all the alumni and supporters who came to mingle at the Marriott Wardman Park,
an elegant setting which afforded the finest in accommodation and sumptuous banquet services
to the satisfaction of all attendees. We are grateful to the Associations,Chapters, Groups and
Paragraphs for their unstinting participation and support. Your excellent presentations, both
creative and forward looking, provided an optimistic prognosis for the partnership between
Bishops' Guyana and the international alumni. The warm atmosphere of camaraderie was palpable
as classmates rejoiced in seeing each other, some after decades of separation. Management of the
vast crowds during the four-day activities showed the steady mettle of Metro Chapter's
organizing committees, as they admirably displayed equanimity under duress. True Bishops'
spirit!
